The purpose of the Riverdale Baptist Middle School Guidance Department is to provide a support system to help each student reach his/her academic and personal potential during the transition years between elementary and high school.
Counseling Services Include:
- Academic Guidance Counseling
- Personal/Social Guidance Counseling
- Classroom Guidance
- Small Group Counseling
- Individual Counseling
All students are invited to visit the counselor regarding issues of conflict resolution, academic issues, divorce, death in the family and any other situation that may arise in their lives. The guidance department can often refer parents to agencies, support groups and other outside professionals who help children and parents.
The guidance department will also assist parents in arranging a group parent-teacher conference, raising awareness of any changes in attitudes or behaviors and assist parents with strategies/tools to help make their child be successful in school.
The Middle School Guidance Counselor, Tammie Hall, can be reached at 301.249.7000 ext. 107 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
