8th Grade: Course 3

Description: Ratio and Rates, Fractions, Decimals, Percents, Coordinate Planes, Expressions, Equations, Functions and Inequalities, Volume, Surface Area, Statistical Displays

Students who maintain a “B” average in Math Course 1 and score no lower than an a 85 on the post assessment are eligible for Pre-Algebra in 7th grade.

Note: To receive the College Prep Diploma, a student is required to take and pass a math every year of his/her high school career. For example, if a student takes Algebra 1 in the 8th grade, he/she would need five years of math. If a student takes Algebra1 in the 9th grade, he/she would need four years of math.
