What is required for admission?

All students are tested as part of the enrollment process. Once the testing process is complete, qualified students are invited to apply. Please contact us for more information.

Riverdale Baptist School is a ministry of Riverdale Baptist Church.

 

What is the enrollment?

Our average enrollment is 800 students in Pre-Kindergarten through twelfth grade.

 

What is your student-to-teacher ratio?

Developmental Pre-Kindergarten (3 yrs. old by August 31): One teacher and one aide for 15 students

Pre-Kindergarten (4 yrs. old by August 31): One teacher and one aide for 20 students

Kindergarten (5 yrs. old by August 31): One teacher for 20 students

Grades 1- 12: Approximately 20 to 25 students per class

 

Are you accredited?

Riverdale Baptist School is accredited through the Association of Christian Schools International and the Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges.

 

What curriculum do you use?

Riverdale Baptist School has a traditional approach to education and uses a wide variety of Christian and secular curricula. The Bible is integrated into every subject discipline taught by born-again instructors.

 

What sports are offered?

Boys: Football, Soccer, Basketball, Golf, Baseball, Indoor and Outdoor Track

Girls: Volleyball, Soccer, Basketball, Softball, Indoor and Outdoor Track and Cheerleading

 

What fine arts are offered?

Choir, band, art and drama

 

What is the dress code?

Students wear uniforms.

 

Is transportation available?

Bus service is available in Prince George's and Anne Arundel Counties for a nominal fee.

 

What are the school hours? Do you offer pre-care and after-care?

The school day runs from 8:00 am–3:00 pm. Pre-care is available from 6:45–7:45 am. After-care is available from 3:15–6:15 pm. A nominal fee per half hour per family is charged for this service.
