Our Guidance Department
The Guidance department is available to assist students with course selection, college and career choices, academic advisement, college information nights for parents, NCAA information meetings for student athletes and their parents, Kaplan SAT prep course, and personal counseling.
RBS graduates are typically offered over $2.5 million in scholarship funding and are regularly able to accept well over $1 million each year.
The Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) is held annually for students in grades 9, 10 and 11.
ASVAB Career Test given annually to grades 10-12.
The school has a dual accreditation through Middle States Association of School and Colleges and the Association of Christian Schools International.
PROCEDURES There are two semesters in the academic year. The semester grade is the final average of two quarters earned for each semester.
All classes are counted in the calculations of the grade point average. The GPA noted on the transcript is a weighted average; one quality point is added for each Honors class and one and a half quality point is added for each AP class. RBS does rank its students. The rank is weighted. Our Grading scale is as follows:
A 100-93 B 92-85 C 84-75 D 74-68 F 67-0

PLANNING It is NEVER too early to start planning for college. I encourage you to expose your students EARLY and take advantage of the events happening in your community in order to prepare your student for the next phase of their lives. I encourage you to be proactive in attending college fairs, SAT workshops, financial aid workshops, college tours, and college bus tours.
