RBS Fall Reopening Plan

Option 1

Distance Learning

Grades K-3 – 5th

  • 4 hours of daily virtual instruction
  • Identified specialty class 30 minutes per week
  • All school events will be held virtually
  • Learning Platforms may include Google Meets, Microsoft Stream, LMS and/or Google Classroom

Grades 6th – 12th

  • 1 hour of daily virtual instruction per scheduled class
  • Period 1 – 10:00 am to 11:00 am
  • Period 2 – 11:05 am to 12:05 pm
  • Lunch
  • Period 3 – 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
  • Period 4 – 2:05 pm to 3:05 pm
  • Learning Platforms may include Google Meets, Microsoft Stream, LMS and/or Google Classroom

Option 2

Hybrid Learning*

Grades K-3 – 5th

  • Monday and Wednesday: on campus instruction
  • Tuesday and Thursday: virtual instruction
  • Friday: independent learning
  • Teachers will have online office hours on Fridays to support parents and students
  • Learning Platforms may include Google Meets, Microsoft Stream, LMS and/or Google Classroom

Grades 6th – 12th

  • Monday and Wednesday: virtual instruction
  • Tuesday and Thursday: on-campus instruction
  • Friday: independent learning
  • Teachers will have online office hours on Fridays to support parents and students
  • Learning Platforms may include Google Meets, Microsoft Stream, LMS and/or Google Classroom

On-Campus Learning*

Monday through Friday on-campus learning

  • iPads provided for all students

Grades 9th – 12th

* Additional Information

  • All students will provide their own mask daily.
  • Masks will be worn over the nose and mouth while traveling in hallways, going to the restroom, and in proximity closer than 6 feet of a fellow student, teacher, or adult.
  • All faculty and staff are required to wear a mask and/or face shield.
  • Any adult that enters the building is required to wear a face covering.
  • Daily recorded health checks before any student enters the school building.
  • Faculty and staff will conduct recorded self-temperature checks daily.
  • Classrooms will not exceed 15 students.
  • All students will eat lunch in classrooms.
  • Lessen the use of classroom community items.
  • Floor markers located in the hallways to promote social distancing.
  • Increase hand sanitizer stations throughout common areas within the school.
  • Teachers will disinfect classrooms before and after the entry of students.
  • A professional cleaning company will provide daily after hour detail cleaning of the school building.
