“THE STORM IS PASSING OVER” is a powerful contemporary presentation of the gospel in drama and music. Written by Dr. David Allison and Dr. Delbert Jones, the gospel musical is filled with excitement, humor, conflict, and suspense. The play opened Friday, August 25, 1989, in Washington, DC. The following year the musical opened Off-Broadway and ran for six months in New York City at the historic Harlem Theatre School of the Arts. The show ran successfully on Broadway in the Summer of 1990 at the prestigious Lamb’s Theatre at 44th and Broadway in the Broadway district in New York City. Since its original showing, the play has been performed yearly except for the years 2020 and 2021 due to the worldwide Coronavirus epidemic.
