Outside Student Payment & Behavioral Contract

In return for the privilege of participating on an interscholastic sports team at Riverdale Baptist School, I agree to abide by the following conditions:

We will pay to the Athletic Office THE ENTIRE Outside Student Athletic fee. I understand that all required registration paperwork, at least 50% of full payment, is due before first practice. I understand this fee is non-refundable.

- PAYMENT IN FULL DUE BY OCTOBER 1 FOR FALL SPORTS
- PAYMENT IN FULL DUE BY JAN 15 FOR WINTER SPORTS
- PAYMENT IN FULL DUE BY APRIL 30 FOR SPRING SPORTS

Payment Fee Schedule:

- Varsity Level 1 Sport (Football, Basketball, Track, Baseball): Homeschool: $2000, Private School: $1000
- Varsity Level 2 Sport (Volleyball, Soccer, Softball, Golf, Tennis): Homeschool: $1000, Private School: $500
- JV Sports (All Sports): Homeschool: $1000, Private School: $500
- MS Sports (All Sports): Homeschool: $750, Private School: $500

To abide by all RBS Student Handbook & RBS Athletic Handbook guidelines as if attending Riverdale Baptist School as a full-time student.
Have a current Physical Form & Insurance waiver on file with the Athletic Department before the first team practice.
Maintain the same academic eligibility standards as if attending Riverdale Baptist School. This includes providing
Progress Reports and Report Cards with grades to verify academic standings. These must be provided by the same date when RBS students receive their Progress Reports/Report Cards (specific dates will be provided to the athlete by each Coach.)
Provide required documentation – Home School program certification (Umbrella Organization or County providing oversight) on file at the Athletic Office before the first practice. Private School letter of verification that attending school does not have this particular sport offered and is giving consent for you to play with Riverdale Baptist School for the entire year.
To be in compliance with MPSSA Standards of Competition, the athletes of the high school team remain affiliated with the school for the duration of the academic school year in which they participate interscholastic athletics & are not permitted to represent more than one school in interscholastic athletics unless they change their primary residence.
Must not be 19 before September 1^st of the ending year.

PARENT/GUARDIAN & STUDENT AGREEMENT

I/We accept all the regulations of the school in the applicant’s behalf, including the dress code when on campus.
I/We accept all responsibility for the fees and other expenses for my/our child/ren and payment of all such bills when due.
I/We agree to maintain a portfolio for each child including current goals/objectives, samples of daily work for each subject, test/quiz results and a reading list.
According to our RBS grading scale, a student must receive a 60% or above for a passing grade in each subject. Anything subject below a 60% or a cumulative gpa of less than a 2.0, will deem the student athlete ineligible to participate with a team.

Riverdale Baptist School reserves the right to dismiss a student who does not respect the school’s rules of conduct, dress, spiritual standards, or cooperate in the educational process.

Student Media Consent & Release

Throughout the school year, students may be highlighted in efforts to promote RBS activities and achievements. For example, students may be featured in materials to train teachers and/or increase public awareness of our schools through newspapers, radio, TV, the web, DVDs, displays, brochures, and other types of media.

I, as the parent or guardian of the Student Applicant, hereby give RBS and its employees, representatives, and authorized media organizations permission to print, photograph, and record my child for use in audio, video, film, or any other electronic, digital and printed media.

This is with the understanding that neither RBS nor its representatives will reproduce said photograph, interview, or likeness for any commercial value or receive monetary gain for use of any reproduction/broadcast of said photograph or likeness. I am also fully aware that I will not receive monetary compensation for my child’s participation.
I further release and relieve RBS, its Board of Trustees, employees, and other representatives from any liabilities, known or unknown, arising out of the use of this material.

Student Conduct Guidelines & Pledge

STUDENT CONDUCT GUIDELINES AND PLEDGE

While playing under Riverdale Baptist School, please acknowledges reading, understanding the intent of each guideline and voluntarily accepting adherence and upholding each noted item of the following pledge:

I pledge myself to the teaching and values of the Bible; therefore, I will uphold these teachings and values both on and off campus.
I pledge myself to uphold the institutional preferences and policies of RBS as stated in the Parent/Student Handbook.
I pledge to abstain from the following: tobacco, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, profanity, social media/internet misconduct and immoral behavior as Biblically defined.
I pledge myself to be a positive member of the RBS community and to be a positive influence in my social relationships.

SCHOOL-WIDE STANDARDS OF CONDUCT

The goal of the school-wide standards of conduct is to assure a safe and effective learning environment that honors God. Standards of conduct for which a student is subject to discipline are defined as follows:

Respect and obey individuals in authority, including all adult staff and volunteers: In manner of speech and behavior students are to demonstrate respect for school authorities. Students are to cooperate with all school authorities and their directions.
Care for school facilities: Students are to help keep the campus clean and litter free by disposing of their own trash or trash of others in the proper receptacles. Students must not deface or damage school property or the property of others.
Respect others in the school community: Students are to refrain from name calling, using obscene gestures, uttering profanities, interfering with others and gossiping.
Students may not possess on campus any weapons, including matches, lighters or any other object that may be used to cause harm to another individual or school property. When in receipt of information or possible information that may be harmful to another person or to the school, students will report such information to a staff member.
Adherence to ethical standards: Students will not lie, cheat or steal, no tolerate, influence, enable anyone else to do likewise.
Be responsible with social relationships: Students are to refrain from hand holding, kissing or other displays of affection. All students are to be always in supervised and visible areas.
Follow concept of conflict resolution: Students will utilize the principles found in Matthew 18 in resolving disputes or disagreements with fellow students or faculty.

Medical Care & Insurance Waiver

I, the parent/legal guardian of the above-named student, hereby give my permission and approval for his/her participation on the athletic team(s) listed above. In addition, I acknowledge receipt of the equipment issued to my son/daughter and agree to return it to the coach upon request. Damaged or lost equipment must be paid for at the current replacement price. I also give my permission for him/her to attend all practices and travel as necessary on school transportation to all scheduled games or practices. I will arrange transportation for my son/daughter from school promptly at the end of each game or practice.

I hereby authorize any employee of Riverdale Baptist School to call an emergency ambulance in case of accident or acute illness, and to arrange for necessary emergency medical and surgical care in the event I am not immediately available. I also agree to accept responsibility for the cost of all medical services.

I also understand that Riverdale Baptist School does not provide insurance for any athletic related injury.
