About

For nearly 50 years, Riverdale Baptist School has educated the future leaders of our nation.

In 1971 Riverdale Baptist School was founded. In its first year, the school had an enrollment of 188 students in classes kindergarten through sixth grade and rented facilities from a local Catholic school. With the school growing at a rapid pace, 156 acres on Largo Road in Upper Marlboro, MD were purchased in 1974. The current educational facilities and church sanctuary were built on the property. The 70,000 square foot educational wing opened in 1975 while the 2300 seat sanctuary was constructed.

Over the years, RBS has added a Gymnasium, Baseball and Softball diamonds, The Football, Soccer and Track SportsPlex, and a Grass practice field. RBS is able to offer over 14 sports programs to students in elementary, middle, and high school.
