Child care is based only on the # of school days and divided equally over 9 months.

When delivering a student to pre-care, parents need to walk the child to the designated room and sign in with the teacher. When picking up a student from after-care, the person authorized to pick up the student must enter the five-digit ID number into the computer to sign out at the designated location before the child is released.

Please note that when there is a delayed school start due to winter weather, pre-care also starts at a delayed time (1-hour delay = 7:45 am pre-care; 2-hour delay = 8:45 am pre-care). When school is dismissed early due to winter weather, there is no after-care provided. After a 30-minute grace period from the dismissal time, parents are charged the late fee for every 15 minutes until the child is picked up. Parents need to be aware of approaching winter storms and listen for reports on Prince George’s County Public Schools. RBS follows its recommendations concerning winter weather delays and closings.

Please contact the school office with any questions or concerns.
