This course is designed to teach students to play an instrument proficiently in a band or orchestra. It exposes students to various musical scores and teaches them discipline and the ability to read music and play well as a group. Students will participate in various concerts and performances. Attendance at all concerts is mandatory. There will be some required preparation time outside of the normal class hour. Special ensembles will require audition and rehearsal outside of school hours. REQUIREMENTS: Purchase of concert attire, instrument, and instrument upkeep.
